June marked Habbo Origins' second anniversary - and it was the biggest celebration the hotel has hosted so far, with a wider range of activities, new mechanics and more ways for players to get involved than last year.
The Great Present Hunt
Every thirty minutes, players gathered in public rooms, grabbed a hammer and smashed as many presents as they could in a five-minute window. Rewards included map fragments, Fishing and Gardening XP scrolls and boosts, pet potions and anniversary collectibles - a healthy mix of progression and collection.
Fairer mechanics
The standout improvement: every present on your screen was exclusively yours. No more racing bots or other players for the same object, one of the community's biggest complaints from previous events. The anniversary map could also be completed solo, with trading as an option rather than a requirement - finishing it earned the exclusive '2' Balloon.
Community Challenge & Pride
A new Community Challenge gave the hotel a collective goal that unlocked Stamp Bundles along the way. Origins also acknowledged Pride Month with a dedicated Catalogue section featuring rainbow furni and flags - though the lack of any accompanying article made it feel more like an acknowledgement than a celebration.
Verdict
One of the strongest anniversary events Origins has delivered to date: it learned from past feedback, played fairer and gave consistent reasons to log in all month long.
